Ilaria Cornaggia Medici and Angiolo Logi first met in Florence in 1971. Ilaria was a student of architecture and Angiolo an architect and lecturer at the same university. In 1973 they married in London and later collaborated in Italy and Brazil designing, sculpting and silversmithing. Australia became their home in 1979. In the same year they established their design studio, Puzzle.
In their workshop and foundry, the Logis produce lost- wax castings. The results are characterised by the satisfying weight, smooth tactility and soft sensual curves of all the pieces they make. Inspired by the natural shapes and textures of the unique flora and fauna of Australia, the Logis produce only a limited number of their exclusive silverware, jewellery, flatware and objets d’art.
The Logi designs enjoy an unrivalled reputation for their originality and quality of craftsmanship. One of their Australia Puzzles has been presented to the Queen, a 60th birthday gift given by Bob Hawke from the people of Australia. More recently the Three Tenors received a Puzzle each and SOCOG presented a Puzzle to Athens to congratulate them on their successful Olympic bid. Other notable collectors include Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
