The Brolga is the official bird emblem of the State of Queensland. Aboriginal legend says that the Brolga was once a famous dancer “Buralga” – she spurned the attention of an evil magician who transformed her with a whirlwind cloud of dust into the graceful crane. Designed and authenticated by Aboriginal artist Marsha hall and produced by Don Sheil in the indigenous series.
The 8″ Plate is 190mm in diameter and 15mm high. The plate is available in Brolga, Crab, Crocodile and Frog which is the Indigenous Series and there is also Flowering Gum, Hand Raised, Shell, Swirl and Waratah.
Made from a unique alloy, each item has the enduring beauty of silver without the drawbacks. It will not tarnish or impart a metallic taste nor will it be affected by salad dressing, mustard or wine. After use wash in warm soapy water and wash gently, rinse and dry with a soft tea towel.
