Hors d’oeuvre is an appertiser or food items served before the main course of a meal. if there is an extended period between when guests arrive and when the meal is eaten – hors d’oeuvres are often served to stave off hunger. Often hors d’oeuvres are sometimes served with no meal afterward. They may also be served at the dinner table as part of the meal – there are particular foods served as hors d’oeuvres.
The hor d’oeuvre plates designed by Mark Sheil cater for all situations related to Hors d’oeuvre requirements. The extra small and the small plate can be used as an individual serving at the table or to move around and the medium and large can be used for passing around. The two larger sizes hold a number of these tasty little nibbles and of course the same plates limit the amount offered – small is good.
