The Waratah Bowl is a hand-crafted lead-free pewter bowl that has been polished and then individually decorated before being etched in acid. The pewter is composed of 93% pure tin a portion of which is mined in Port Davey, Tasmania, with the addition of a little copper and antimony to harden and strengthen the alloy.
Many of the unique hand-made pewter products are designed and inspired using Australian flora and fauna. The image is a stylised waratah – which is NSW stae floral emblem as well as a well known Australian flower – there are other designs available with a Kangaroo and a Geometric design.
The diameter of the bowl is 120mm x 35mm and weighs 320gm.
